Total level of the real estate investments, 222 pct growth in H1

The level of the real estate investments (transactions with real estate projects) for the first half of 2014 reached EUR 402.4 million for a transacted area exceeding 692,000 sq. m.

The number of transactions with lands has increased in H1, and the value reached over EUR 50 million

The number of transactions with lands for real estate developments, retail and production spaces has increased this year, registering 15 large transactions nationwide, totalizing 630,000 sq. m, with a value exceeding EUR 50 million, according to the real estate consultant CBRE.

South Korea and Romania team up for joint IT research center

The South Korean science ministry in collaboration with the Romanian Ministry for Information Society have just opened an information technology research center which will implement several IT projects in Romania over the next three years, according to a press release from the Korean authorities, quoted in a piece by Yonhap News Agency.

6 ha land for sale in Preciziei zone, for EUR 9.5 million

Insolvency company Rominsolv put on sale a land of six hectares in Preciziei St. in western Bucharest, where several constructions are situated, belonging to the bankrupt company Compania de Expeditii si Transport Auto (CETA), owned by the businessman Marius Cae.

Dedeman plans 13 store expansion with three openings this year

DIY retailer Dedeman intends to expand its network in Romania by building 13 new units, with three new stores opening this year. For every unit, the retail will also develop a tennis court, as part of a partnership with the Romanian Tennis Federation.

DTZ Echinox hires Ionut Bordei to lead new residential department

Real estate consultancy firm DTZ Echinos announced it is establishing a new department for investments in terrains and residential projects, speculating that the residential market will bounce back. The company hired Ionut Bordei, former partner for Eurisko/CBRE, to head this new department.

Arval, Venchi and BNP Paribas Cardif among Ethos House tenants

Ethos House, the office project developed by Gktosis Anstasios in Bucharest, will be completed on October 1st, the developer has announced. The 8,000 square meter office building located on Calea Floreasca represents a EUR 7 million investment with Arval, BNP Paribas Cardif and Venchi among the first announced tenants.

Bucharest’s largest office transactions in H1 2014

The mobile phone operators Voda­fone and Orange were the protagonists of the most important transactions on the office market in the first semester, signing leases for spaces situated within two office buildings in construction in Barbu Văcărescu – Floreasca area, where they will relocate approx. 3,000 employees.
