Huawei has a support center in Bucharest with 700 employees, which serves the group’s clients in Europe, North America, Africa, Australia, and the Middle East. The Chinese group has a total of 1,200 employees in Romania, out of a total of 8,000 employees in Europe.

 

“Romania is the most important country in the EU for Huawei,” said Andy Hu, the company’s communication manager, cited by local Capital.ro.

 

“We will continue to invest in developing Huawei’s activity in Romania,” said Shen Dehai, the manager of the global support center in Bucharest.

 

The group’s business in Romania reached USD 240 million in 2014, up by 10% compared to the previous year. This includes the sales of the Huawei Romania subsidiary as well as revenues generated by the center in Romania through subsidiaries registered in other countries.

 

This year, the group expects an increase of under 10% of its business in Romania, according to Vlad Doicaru, Enterprise Director Huawei Romania. (source: Romania-insider.com)
