The 15-year loan comes shortly after Proiect Bucuresti SRL, the company that designed the mall, filed an insolvency application against NEPI in early February.

The investment fund obtained a construction permit for the project in June 2013 and opened the shopping center six months later.

NEPI has been the most active investor in Romanian property over the past couple years, acquiring both existing assets and taking on new development projects. (Source: cijjournal.com)
