Number of residential building permits slightly up in Romania

The Romanian state issued 3,355 building permits for residential houses in April, up 3.1% over March. The number went down by 0.5% year-on-year, according to the National Institute of Statistics.

Romania registers highest increase in construction work in the EU

Construction work increased in March by 13.3% year-on-year in Romania, recording the highest increase in the EU, where the advanced was of 1.3%.

Number of construction permits up 4.3 pct in first two months of 2015

In the first two months of the year, 3,923 building permits have been issued for residential buildings, up 4.3 percent compared to the same period of 2014, increases being recorded in the South-East, North-West, Bucharest-Ilfov, South-Muntenia and North-East, according to the National Statistics Institute (INS).

Construction market dropped under 9 billion Euros in 2014

The construction market had a drop of 4% last year, to 8.9 billion Euros, representing the lowest level of the industry since the beginning of the crisis, according to ARACO. The association hopes for an increase in 2015 if budget project are put into practice.
