Jones Lang LaSalle has brokered in the first 8 months of the year 22,000 sqm office transactions, being currently involved in advanced negotiations for over 30,000 sqm, lots of those being scheduled for completion by the end of this year.

"The office rental activity of our company focused on two directions: new requests or consolidations of the existing spaces, as well as renewal leases. The request mainly come from the companies already existing on the market, but we are currently negotiating for 7,000 sqm with new companies, who decided to open offices in Romania, to the detriment of Poland or other countries in the region ", Scuta says.


According Jones Lang LaSalle’s data, in the first half of the year the total office takeover reached approx. 123,000 sqm, being dominated by the new office request and the renewals. The companies in IT & C, FMCG and automotive fields have controlled the largest part of the leasing activity. A significant growth of the financial incentives was also registered, both regarding free months and financial contributions for the fit out works, applicable to the leases over 2,000-3,000 sqm in finalized buildings.
