Papalekas Buys Cathedral Plaza office building in Bucharest
Greek investor Ioannis Papalekas has recently struck a deal with Israeli billionaire Eyal Ofer to buy Cathedral Plaza tower in central Bucharest.
Ofer invested more than EUR 40 million in Catherdral Plaza project, the tower having 18 floors and being situated near Sfantul Iosif Cathedral in Bucharest. Due to litigations that lasted 7 years with the Roman Catholic Archdiocese, which contested the construction permit of the building, risking to demlolish it, Eyal Ofer keeped the office building closed by present.
