In October last year, IMF estimated that Romania’s GDP would increase by 3.9% in 2016.
Ireland is the only EU country that will record a higher economic growth than Romania, in 2016, namely 5%, according to the IMF report.
Europe will record an economic growth of 2% whereas the Emerging Europe, which includes Romania, will witness a GDP growth of 3.5%. In 2017, the GDP will go up by 3.3% in the Emerging Europe, according to IMF estimates.
Romania’s economic growth will reach a peak this year. In 2017, Romania’s GDP growth will slow down to 3.6%. It will still be one of the highest economic growths in EU. (source: Romania-insider.com)
