The offer includes both the spaces in the basement, where interested tenants can set up a casino and a business club, as well the ground floor, which would be suitable for cafes and restaurants, said George Vodislav, general director of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, quoted by local Profit.ro.

The former headquarters of the National Library is a historical building that was inaugurated in 1911. Back then it hosted the Bucharest Stock Exchange.

From 1955, when the building was taken over by the Communist regime, until 2008, the building hosted Romania’s National Library.

In 2008, it was returned to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bucharest. The building needs renovation work, as the plaster on the façade has been falling in recent years endangering the people who walk by it. (source: Romania-insider.com)
