The works for the underground passage in Piaţa Presei, which will improve the traffic from Băneasa area towards Bucharest’s downtown, will be completed this month, according to the City Hall.

 

The works have started last March.

 

The project in Piaţa Presei Libere includes a road passage and two pedestrian passages which will improve the traffic in the area.

 

The necessity of the passage appeared after the completion of the underground passage near Aurel Vlaicu airport, which relocated the traffic clog from the entry in the city to the vicinity of Herăstrău park.

 

According to data from Bucharest city Hall, through this area there are even 12,000 cars passing per hour. The passage will be made on one way only, the one of the entrance i Pasajul construit va fi realizat pe u the city, while the bifurcation towards Mărăşti or Kiseleff boulevard will be made in the underground.
