“We’ve developed several commercial centers in Romania and we are looking to return to the market. Bucharest is an attractive city and we are currently looking for some niche projects here”, according to Tomasz Lisiecki, chief development officer for TriGranit Development Corporation.

At the same time, Lisiecki mentioned that out of all the CEE countries, Poland is the easiest market for new developments. On the other hand, Hungary is also attractive because the retail industry is on the rise and the country offers plenty of worthy assets for sales.

Sandor Demian, founder of TriGranit, took over the Atrium Center mall in Arad last year. He also developped the Pollus mall in Cluj and TriGrani was involved in several projects in Romania when the real estate market was experiencing a boom, among them the Maritimo Mall in Constanta (eventually finished by Immofinanz) and the Esplanada mall (which never came to fruition).
