The largest office transaction in 2014 was the pre-rental by Telekom Romania Telecommunications of 25,000 sq. m in Globalworth Campus complex, developed in Pipera by the Greek businessman Ioannis Papalekas.

 

Globalworth Campus project will be developed in Pipera, on a plot bought from the pharmaceutical distributor Farmexim, owned by the businessman Ovidiu Buluc. Globalworth Campus will include 105,000 sq. m in three buildings.

 

The renewal of the lease with Renault until 2018 has brought the building North Gate in Pipera to the top of the most attractive offices in 2014 by transacted area, considering that the French giant, with an office on 20,000 sq. m, has chosen to refuse a relocation and to stay in the premises developed by the Romanian businessman Marius Ivan.

 

The relocation of Vodafone to Bucharest One was one of the major movements on the office market in 2014. The mobile phone operator rented for 10 years 16,000 sq. m in the office tower  Bucharest One, to be developed on Barbu Vacarescu St. in Bucharest. Chinese company Huawei also rented 2,500 sq. m for five years in the same building.

Bucharest One will be completed in December 2015 and will include 23 floors with 53,923 sq. m.

 

The first office building in the project Green Court in the area Barbu Vacarescu - Floreasca, attracted Orange, with a lease of 14,000 sq. m. Last year Sanofi pre-rented 2,200 sq. m in the second building of the project and Schneider Electric rented over 3,000 sq. m in the first building of Green Court.

 

Hermes Business Campus registered in 2014 office transactions for a total area of 14,500 sq. m. Romanian International Bank rented 3,500 sq. m and DB Schenker 8,000 sq. m. Litera, Xerox and Fribourg Capital have also chosen to relocate their offices to Hermes Business Campus, a project developed by Atenor in Pipera.

 

AFI Park project attracted rental transactions for an area of 14,400 sq. m in 2014, according to JLL data. The main transaction in the project in 2014 was the pre-rental of 6,000 sq. m by Telus.

 

The most important transaction in West Gate in 2014 was the expansion of the offices of Ericcson ,000 sq. m. Overall, according to data available from JLL, in West Gate there were 14,200 sq. m offices transacted last year.

 

14,000 sq. m were transacted in Floreasca Business Park (169). 44% of the transacted area was represented by renewals and renegotiations of existing contracts, according to JLL data.

 

Art Business Center 6 enters the top of the most attractive office buildings in 2014 with a total of 12,000 sq. m transacted. Ponderas  Hospital and Intesa San Paolo Bank are among the names choosing the building developed by Chirescu family.

 

Nusco Tower has renewed contracts for 10,500 sq. m, entering the top. the building was bought last year by Ioannis Papalekas. (source: wall-street.ro)
