The volume of the construction works – 5% decrease for the first two months
The construction works volume diminished in the first two months comparing tot the same period of last year, both as unadjusted and adjusted series according to the working days number and season, with 5.3% and 7.5%, according to the report of National Institute for Statistics.
As for the structure elements, there are registered increasing for the capital works (77.4% unadjusted series) and for repair works and current repairs (19.6%). The volume for new construction works decreased with 19.8%.
“The volume of the construction works by construction objects increased for residential and non-residential buildings with 46.4% and 6.9%. As for the engineering constructions, the volume of works diminished with 14.9%.” shows the press release of the Institute.
The unadjusted series of the construction volume increased in February comparing to January (with 22%), but registered a decrease comparing to February 2012 (with 2%). (source: zf.ro)
