Overall in 2014, more than 120,000 sq. m office spaces could be delivered in Bucharest, the biggest projects being Green Gate in Piaţa Chirigiu area (30,000 sq. m), City Offices (former City Mall) in Eroii Revoluţiei (25,000 sq. m) and AFI Park 2 and 3 (24,000 sq. m), developments done in the Southern half of the city.

„I consider the development of new office areas healthy in terms of urbanism, as Bucharest is currently unbalanced by the fact that the population generally lives in West, South and East and works mainly in the North of the city“, says Gijs Klomp, the managing director of Jones Lang LaSalle.

Bucharest currently has approx 2 million sq. m office stock and a vacancy rate of more than 15%, the rents being situated between EUR 6-10/sq. m/month in Pipera-Tunari to EUR 16-17/sq. m in the centre. (source: zf.ro)
