NEPI’s CEO has also said that the demolishing works for the plot in Galati have already started and that the commercial centre in the city will be opened this year.  As for the commercial centre announced in Targu Jiu, Slabbert says that it will be completed next year.

Regarding the tenants, Slabbert said that they are mostly the same in all company’s projects. NEPI bought this year a 4 ha plot in Targu Jiu and also announced that it is in discussions for the acquisition of Belrom’s project in Drobeta Turnu Severin, as well as for the takeover of a part of a loan in Sibiu.

The south-African real estate investment fund New Europe Property Investments (NEPI) has registered in the first quarter a profit for its shareholders of EUR 11.2 million, well above the profit from the similar period of last year, EUR 926,000.

This year NEPI has taken over the building Lakeview from Dinu Patriciu and AIG Lincoln.

The fund bought in 2012 the office project City Business Center in Timisoara, a plot for developing another business park in Cluj, plots for the construction of commercial centres in Brasov, Galati and Bucharest (Vulcan), and at the end of the year has opened together with Carrefour Property the commercial centre Ploiesti Shopping City.

The projects in Timisoara and Ploiesti, as well as the attraction in Promenada Braila project of the retailers C&A and H&M have contributed to the company’s turnover growth, which is equally involved in investments in the beginning of this year.

For this year, Nepi plans to start the project in Bucharest on Vulcan platform, for which it obtained the Urban Plan in December 2012 and more than a month ago it has announced the beginning of the construction site for the office project in Cluj. Moreover, the company intends to develop small commercial galleries near five Kaufland stores, two of them going to be placed near the units of Alexandria and Sfantu Gheorghe. (source: wall-street.ro)
