The building of the new terminal T3, which will stretch over 3,600 sqm and can host 320 passengers per hour, is due in August this year.

It will have six check-in offices. T3 is three times bigger than the older terminal T2, and together they will ensure a traffic of two million passengers per year, said Marius Bodea, Chairman of the Board of Iasi Airport, cited by local Mediafax.

The project is carried out with European funds.

The Iasi airport will benefit from other investments worth EUR 100 million over the next years, according to the General Transport Masterplan. (source: Romania-insider.com)
