Compared to the previous month it fell by 24.4 percent in gross series and went up by 1.6 percent in adjusted series.

 

According to the INS, the contraction of retail sales in January compared to December was influenced by lower sales of non-food products  (down by 26.1 percent gross against the last month of 2014) as well as sales of food products, beverages and tobacco (24.8 percent) and fuel (20.2 percent).

In January 2015 compared to January 2014 the retail turnover increased by 6.3 percent due to higher sales of food, beverages and tobacco (up 10.3 percent), vehicle fuel in specialized stores (up 8 percent) and non-food products (up 2.3 percent). (Source: business-review.eu)
