The renewable energies sector becomes more and more attractive and profitable for Romania. A lot of companies from abroad start new businesses and have an interest in investing in this field. 2013 will be the year when the experience, the strategy and the finances will show the path, establish and share the market. According to the officials, the green energy sector has attracted in the last three years in Romania more than three billion euros, and the support scheme for the investors, offering green certificates with a value between 27 and 55 euros is one of the most generous in the European Union.

The official project of the Government shows that starting 1st of July 2013, the renewable energy producers from the solar sector will receive 6 green certificates, but 2 of them will be retained by the authorities by 1st of January 2017. For the wind energy one green certificate will be retained by 1st of January 2018, and for the hydro-energy a certificate also will be retained. According to the last discussions, the approval could last between 6, 7 and 12 months, which involves that this law to become valid no earlier than 1st of January 2014, a date considered from the beginning by all parties involved in this market. Moreover, according to ANRE it is possible that starting 1st of January 2014, the green certificates to be reduced at 3 for the solar energy 1.5 for the wind and 2.3 for hydro energy.
