One United Properties (BVB: ONE), the leading investor and developer of sustainable residential, office, and mixed-use projects in Romania, continues its development plans in Sector 2 of Bucharest with significant investments in infrastructure and educational facilities that will serve the entire local community.

 

The company has begun construction of two schools based on the Romanian curriculum, located within the One Academy Club and One Lake District developments, which will accommodate over 1,000 children. These schools benefit from an investment of approximately 19 million euros. In addition, the developer has already identified land for the future expansion of both schools, allowing them to accommodate another 1,000 students, reaching a total capacity of 2,000 students.

 

The construction of these educational facilities in a fast-developing urban area is part of the company’s urban responsibility strategy, aimed at having a positive impact on the city. The One Academy Club development will integrate both a school and a kindergarten, with an estimated investment of 12 million euros.

 

This educational unit will serve preschool, primary, and middle school levels, with a projected capacity of 714 students. It will also include facilities such as a gym, after-school services, canteen, library, outdoor sports field, science lab, and medical offices. The school will operate in a 7,695 sqm building, with 2,491 sqm dedicated to the kindergarten and 1,271 sqm for the gym.

 

The school located in the One Academy Club development, near Lake Tei, will run collaboration programs with the Sfânta Tecla Foundation to support charity initiatives and actions aimed at improving quality of life and providing essential resources for children and families in need. Alongside main sponsors Adrian Ciorobea and Virginica Dumitrescu, One United Properties is the third main sponsor of the Sfânta Tecla center. The programs are designed to support the community, from helping vulnerable families to supporting youth education and social integration projects. The school’s collaboration with the foundation aims to support community engagement, creative and educational workshops, and charity projects.

 

In addition, One United Properties has invested in the area's infrastructure to support mobility and facilitate quality living for future communities. An investment of 6 million euros, made in partnership with other real estate developers in the area, was allocated for the construction of 3.5 kilometers of new roads, scheduled for completion by the end of this year. These roads include branches connecting the developments in the Fabrica de Glucoză area with the future school. All works are carried out with approvals from CTC and the Traffic Police, and the new roads aim to ease congestion on Șos. Fabrica de Glucoză by redistributing traffic to secondary streets and providing direct access to Șos. Petricani, as well as improving accessibility to residential projects and the educational unit.

The second educational unit built by the company in Sector 2 is located within the One Lake District development, on the shore of Lake Plumbuita. This school benefits from an investment of approximately 7 million euros and includes a school and nursery, serving pre-preschool, primary, and middle school levels, with a projected capacity of 330 students. Related facilities include a sports field, medical offices, and administrative spaces.

 

Here too, One United Properties is carrying out 2 million euros in road infrastructure investments to ensure access and smooth traffic flow. A five-lane traffic-light-controlled road, connected to Gherghiței Street, will facilitate access to the development. This will be complemented by two additional access roads, also connected to Intrarea Gherghiței: a three-lane access road toward the Lidl supermarket and a two-lane road toward the McDonald's restaurant. These investments also include a public promenade along Lake Plumbuita, designed for public access. The promenade will be at least 6 meters wide, with a landscaped area of 600 sqm and an adjacent 4,500 sqm green space, featuring rest areas, social spaces, vegetation, and landscape observation points.
