Regarding the market’s evolution in 2013, Oana Iliescu says that the office segment will register a similar transaction volume to the one registered last year.

On the segment of constructions, the first quarter of 2013 was characterized through the most intense activity registered since 4Q 2010, situated which also reflected to the volume of new office spaces delivered during this period – 71,000 sq. m, a volume almost equal to the volume registered during the entire 2012. The office spaces to be delivered during 2013 sums up a total rentable area of approx. 118,000 aq. m , with the most significant volumes being delivered in Q1 and Q4, 71,000 sq. m and 37,000 sq. m respectively, showed the data of DTZ Echinox real estate consultants..

Considering the level of request, 3Q represented the most active period of the year, the net volume of the rentals (including new transactions, pre-leases and extensions) being of approx. 45,000 sq. m, increasing from 39,000 sq. m in 2Q and 40,000 sq. m in 1Q respectively.
