The NGOs representatives have sustained that the building in will lead to the traffic congestion in a zone that is already busy, while Patrascu said that the Zonal Plan in Dorobanti area respected the legislation, including the protection measures of the historical areas.

The project intended to develop in the area on 5,305.49 plot of land belonging to Rubin Gold SRL, would include 45 m height building with hotel, casino, retail and offices, also having a wing on western side.

During the same meeting another project was overviewed, the Detailed Urban Plan in 28-30 Maxim Gorki St. in Bucharest sector 1, where a residential building is scheduled for maximum 13 m height on 657 sq. m, owned by Astalrom company. The opponents wish the area remained residential and said that the owner’s intention is to develop offices for liberal professions.

The project in Progresului St-  Nutu Ion St. in Bucharest sector 5 was also contested by the NGOs, taking into consideration the existence of some monuments to be demolished on a certain portion of the land.

 

According to the project, on the 80,594.70 sq. m land owned by SC Ventilatorul Real Estate SRL and SC Universal Royal Invest SRL, a mixed-use complex would be developed, including offices, apartments, public facilities and kindergartens. (source: wall-street.ro)
