NEPI bought 18 ha for the development of a commercial centre with works scheduled to start by the end of this year, while Dedeman bought 4 ha to build the company’s second DIY store in the city.

Timişoara currently has only one large commercial centre, Iulius Mall owned by the businessman Iulian Dascălu, therefore the city with 300,000 inhabitants could sustain a second mall.

„We will start with the first phase of 50,000-60,000 sq. m involving an investment of EUR 70-80 million. Our plan is to open the first phase of the project in November next year“, has declared for ZF Martin Slabbert, CEO NEPI, a fund that reached a real estate portfolio of approx. one billion Euros following the acquisitions and developments in the last five years.
