Three of them will be transformed into Mega Image supermarkets and two in Shop&Go. ZF recently wrote that Mega Image entered a partnership with the company controlled by George Florin Brotoiu (49 years) together with another Romanian. The Gulliver chain was therefore split between Carrefour – which took over four stores in order to transform them in Express units – and Mega Image.

Belgian chain’s representatives say that the five stores will be refurbished by the end of October

Gulliver finished last year with turnover of EUR 7.5 million (33.4 million lei), with 11% local currency growth compared to the previous year.

 

The Belgians, present on the local market with 239 stores, finished 2012 with EUR 394 million turnover compared to EUR 288 million in the previous year. (source: zf.ro)
