The leisure facilities offered by the mall also include a gym, a pool, bowling room, billiards and casino hall, as well as a cinema including 13 halls and the second iMAX hall in the country, following the one opened in AFI Palace Cotroceni from Bucharest.

Cinema City will operate in Shopping City Timişora a cinema with a capacity of 2,400 places and an area of 4,000 sq. m, the largest multiplex outside Bucharest.

The investment in the project reaches EUR 83.8 million and will bring annual revenue of EUR 7.6 million from renting the 70,000 sq. m of the shopping centre.

Built on a land of 18 ha, bought from the Cristescu brothers, the mall in Timişoara will compete directly with Iulius Mall, the leader in the city by far. Moreover, Alpha Bank and Plaza Centers are preparing the development of another two commercial centres. Iulian Dascălu has also announced to invest EUR 200 million in a copy of Palas Iaşi, to include Iulius Mall.

Shopping City Timişoara is the 13th mall included in NEPI’s properties portfolio, which reached last year the value of two billion Euros. (Source: capital.ro)
