West Gate is one of the most representative office parks in Bucharest. Situated in the western Bucharest, on Iuliu Maniu Blvd., at the entry to the A1 highway towards Pitesti, the project has a total rentable area of 75,000 sq.m, divided in five buildings on 5 floors each, hosting important tenants such as Siemens, Dacia Renault, Ericsson, WNS, PPD Romania, Panasonic, Citibank, Alpha Bank, Société Générale and Carestream Health. Currently, West Gate’s occupancy rate is 93%.

According to the most recent researches of DTZ Echinox, 3Q 2013 represented the most active period of the year considering office requests, the net volume of the rentals (including new transactions, pre-leases and extensions) being of approx. 45,000 sq. m, growing from 39,000 sq.m in 2Q and from 40,000 sq. m in 1Q.

The office vacancy rate in Bucharest reached 15.5% in the end of 3Q, down from 16.4% in 2Q and 16.6% in 1Q. This diminution was generated mainly by the low level of office deliveries registered in 2Q and 1Q (7,600 sq. m and 1,800 sq. m, respectively) together with a slight growth of the rented area on quarter to quarter base.
