The new store, covering over 13,700 sqm, will replace the old Dedeman shop in the city, which is half the size of the new one, reports local Dailybusiness.ro. The new unit will have 370 parking places and will sell twice as many products. The number of employees also grew to 206.

The old store in Suceava, which was opened in 2003, was Dedeman’s first large retail unit in Romania. Over the last 12 years, Dedeman has opened 41 stores in Romania, becoming the country’s biggest DIY retailer.

The company now has 7,800 employees and over 420,000 sqm of retail space. Its turnover exceeded EUR 760 million in 2014, and its net profit went up to EUR 92 million. The company plans to open 4-5 units this year. (source: Romania-insider.com)
