The plots with almost 206,000 sqm are owned through the companies Bega Turism (SCDE) and Bega Minerale Industriale (BMIA), part of the group controlled by the brothers, and the sale will be discussed by the shareholders in August.

The land in Calea Sagului St. was initially designated to development of a large scale commercial centre, as in May last year the representatives of Bega Grup have announced the project scheduled for completion in a year, following EUR 50 million investments.

Cristescu brothers intend to invest approx. EUR 20 million in the development of an office complex in Timisoara, the first of the building, with an area of 5,000 sqm going to be opened on Monday.

The project, named Optica Business Park, will have an area of 21,000 sqm and will include several phases, until the end of 2015.

The developers also own in Timisoara office spaces of over 10,000 sqm.

Bega Grup includes 16 companies in different fields, from mining industry, automotive and real estate to tourism. (source: economica.net)
