The section of the subway between the two new stations, Laminorului – Străuleşti, has a total length of 2.1 kilometres. The investment project includes the expansion of the network with the two new metro stations, Laminorului and Străuleşti, as well as the development of a intermodal depot and of the Străuleşti parking, according to the press release sent by the Ministry of Transport.

The metro station Laminorului is located in the Bucharest neighborhood Straulesti, at the crossroads of the Laminorului street and the Bucurestii Noi boulevard. The area has a high real estate development potential and the new investment is extremely beneficial for the office market in the area.

The connection between the new stations is made by a tunnel on each traffic line. The works for the expansion of the 4th Metro Line in Bucharest started in 2013 and have cost 1.115 billion lei, the project being financed through the Sector Operational Program Transport (POS-T) and of the Large Infrastructure Operation Program (POIM).
