Currently, the company requested its own insolvency, according to the data from the Court of Bucharest, a request dated 7th of June. The data from the Ministry of finance shows that Bel Rom Şapte registered in 2011 a turnover of EUR 4.23 million, a net loss of EUR 699,000 and had debts of EUR 42 million.

The announcement comes one month after BelRom requested the insolvency of the project Electroputere Park in Craiova.

Focsani Retail Park was opened in September 2008 and has a built area of 51,588 sqm, 1,252 parking places, with tenants such as Carrefour, Media Galaxy and Bricostore. The project investment was EUR 60 million.

The investment fund NEPI refused in 2009 to take over the commercial park in Focsani, but also the one in Bacau. The missed transaction for the two commercial centres could reach EUR 100 million. Prior this event, the Belgians had sold to NEPI the commercial park in Braila for EUR 63 million in 2009, the year Armonia Braila has closed.

Bel Rom also sold two commercial parks developed in Romania, in Sibiu (to Argo Real Estate) and in Tîrgu-Mureş (to the French group Natixis), for EUr 170 million.

Another company owned by the Belgians, through which was bought the land of the former Helitube platform is currently in insolvency.

K&S Electric Power Point SA, the company that developed the mall Electroputere Park in Craiova, asked for its own insolvency at Braila Court on 8th of May. The insolvency request came from the developer in order to protect the asset from the foreclosure requested by the general contractor of the project, NM Construct.

On 7th of March 2012, NM Construct asked also the insolvency of the companies that developed the projects in Botoşani and Drobeta Turnu Severin, but the request was rejected.

This spring, NEPI announced that a letter of intent was sent to Bel Rom Zece for the buying of Severin Shopping Center and of a 2.3 ha plot in the vicinity, Drobeta Turnu Severin. Belrom accepted NEPI’s offer, conditioned by the transaction documents drawing, by the results of the  due diligence and other permits.

On 10th of May 2012, SCA Voicu şi Filipescu asked the insolvency of Bel Rom Patru, the company that developed the commercial park in Bacau, but this request was also rejected in Court. (source:economica.net)
