The US e-retailer will oversee its European shared service, IT and HR operations from the location, as well as offer support to its distribution centers in the Czech Republic and Poland. Amazon plans to hire 500 employees to staff its Prague office.

The recently completed Blox is located next to the Dejvická metro station. The e-retailer leased 5,800 sqm on two levels. The interior was designed by the London-based Interior Architects studio.

Amazon is also hiring staff for its new distribution center in Dobrovíz, to the west of Prague, where it plans to employ 2,000 to 3,000. (source: cijjournal.com)
