Those spaces determine losses from rents of approx. EUR 100,000 per day or EUR 25 million per year. According to ZF, half of the vacant offices in Bucharest are situated in five projects, Platinum Business & Convention Center, Global City, Twin Towers Barba Center, IRIDE Business Park and City Offices, developments which were built in less accessible areas or are technically outdated.

 

In the end of last year, the vacancy rate in A and B class offices in Bucharest was 13.3 pct, which means that 288,000 sq. m of offices were vacant, according to the data from the real estate consultant DTZ Echinox, also showing that the most complicated situation is in the area Pipera-Tunari, where 44 pct, of the spaces are vacant.
